Welcome to SoterCoach Enterprise! Your Quick Start Guide
Welcome to SoterCoach Enterprise! This guide is designed to help new Enterprise users get acquainted with the SoterCoach technology before its full launch. SoterCoach Enterprise is a system developed to enhance workplace safety in large organizations by helping individuals understand and improve their movement habits, distinguished from the SoterCoach Starter solution by its centralized management Dashboard and Hub system designed for scalable, company-wide programs rather than individual mobile app usage. The primary aim is to proactively prevent common workplace injuries such as back and shoulder musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The technology empowers individuals to take an active role in their ergonomic safety, fostering a culture of proactive care rather than reactive treatment
What You'll Need Before You Begin
To ensure a smooth start with SoterCoach, it's helpful to have a few items ready or be aware of the resources you'll use. Preparing these components beforehand will allow users to proceed through the setup process without interruption.
The essential items include:
- The SoterCoach Device: This is the small, clip-on device provided by Soter.
- Access to the Soter Hub: This will be your primary point of interaction for starting on the program.
- Access to the Soter Dashboard: This is where managers at your company can analyze the data and manage workers on the program.
Step-by-Step: Getting Started with SoterCoach
This section provides a step-by-step walkthrough of the initial setup and use of the SoterCoach system for Enterprise users. Following these steps will help users get started successfully.
1. Familiarize Yourself with the Soter Hub
Before using the device, take a moment to place the SoterHub in a communal location so workers can easily access the SoterCoach program in your workplace. This station is where you will start your shift with your device, sync your data after your shift, and access your personalized data.

2. Add your Team on the Soter Dashboard
The next step is to add yourself and your workers to the dashboard so they are ready to start utilizing the SoterCoach program.

To set up the Device:
3.1. Obtain your SoterCoach device from the SoterHub. Follow the on-screen instructions.
For more detailed instructions, please refer to the help center article: Daily Workflow: Taking, Wearing, and Returning SoterCoach Devices
Correct device placement is vital for collecting accurate movement data, which in turn ensures the feedback and insights provided are relevant and useful. The guidance provided at the SoterHub will make this step clear.

4. Your First Day: Recording Movement Data
Once the device is set up and active, you can begin recording your movement data. Simply perform your usual work activities while wearing the device. The device works independently during your shift.
- On the first day, it is recommended to wear the device for at least eight hours.
- During this initial 8-hour period, users will not receive real-time notifications or alerts from the device.
This initial "quiet" period is a normal and intentionally part of the process. It allows the SoterCoach system to establish a baseline understanding of the user's typical movements without any immediate feedback influencing their behavior. This baseline data is important for the system to tailor future guidance. Managing expectations about this initial experience is important; the absence of alerts on the first day does not mean the device isn't working. It is part of a carefully orchestrated first-day experience designed to gather unbiased data before introducing feedback and training.

5. Sync Your Data and View Initial Insights
After completing your work session, the next step is to sync the data collected by the device by returning to the SoterHub and clicking "Finish Shift" and following the prompts to sync the data. The system will then upload this data to the Soter Dashboard for analysis and processing.
Once the data is synced, you will be able to view some initial information about your movements on the Soter Hub. This is often presented in the form of color-coded bar charts showing the number and types of potential hazards detected during the session, and the times at which they occurred. This initial view of the data is the beginning of the journey toward understanding personal movement patterns.
