This article provides answers to common questions about how the device records usage sessions and provides feedback applying default settings. Understanding how session timing works can help you get the most out of the device.
When does the device start providing feedback?
The device begins to send notifications after the completion of the first full session. This session must last at least 1 hour and no more than 8 hours. If the first session exceeds 8 hours, notifications will start after the first 8 hours of that session.
What if users work less than a full shift, for example, only 3 hours?
The device still functions effectively with shorter shifts. As long as the session lasts at least 60 minutes, the system registers it as a valid session. If the device is returned to the charging Hub after a 3-hour use, and then used again the next day (or later the same day after a sufficient break), it will count as a new session and can trigger feedback.
How are sessions tracked across multiple short shifts in a day?
If a user uses the sensor for 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening, the system treats them as two separate sessions if:
- The device is returned to the Hub between uses.
- The break between sessions is longer than 240 minutes (4 hours).
These will be shown as two distinct sessions on the dashboard.
How does the system handle short breaks during the shifts?
The system treats a work session as continuous as long as the break is less than 240 minutes and the device is not returned to the Hub. If the device is returned to the Hub or the break exceeds this duration, the system will register this as two sessions, even if it occurs on the same calendar day.
