The Soter Device, Hub, and Attachments
Overview
This guide covers the core hardware that powers your SoterCoach program: the Soter Device, SoterCoach Hub, and their related attachments. These tools work together to collect ergonomic movement data, provide worker feedback, and upload insights to your dashboard β all without needing a phone or Wi-Fi connection.
π§ The SoterCoach Device
- Use: Worn during either the back or shoulder program.
- Battery Life: Up to 20 days.
- Design: Lightweight, water-resistant, drop-resistant, pacemaker-safe, and suitable for all body types.
- Sensors: Includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and pressure sensor β no microphone, no GPS.
- Privacy: Does not track location or audio; only ergonomic movement data is collected.
- Cleaning: Wipe with sanitizing wipes (avoid the USB slot).
π§ How It Works
- The device provides haptic feedback (beeps + vibrations) to guide workers in real-time.
- Data is collected passively throughout the shift.
- No Wi-Fi or phone is needed while wearing the device.
π¦ The SoterCoach Hub
- Capacity: Charges and stores up to 40 devices.
- Interface: Built-in touchscreen tablet and scanner.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Enables fast, autonomous user interaction β scan and go.
- Connectivity: Uses SIM card by default; Wi-Fi optional.
- Syncing: Transfers ergonomic data to the Soter Dashboard at end-of-shift.
βοΈ Setting Up the Hub

Unbox & Plug In
Open the case and plug the Hub into a power outlet. -
Power On the Tablet
If it doesn't auto-start, press the power button on the tabletβs upper right side. -
Insert Devices into Charging Ports
Wait for a beep sound confirming the connection. -
Keep the Hub Charged
It must remain plugged in to ensure continuous syncing during the program.
