The Chat Assistant in SoterAI provides an AI-powered conversational interface for asking safety, compliance, and risk-related questions. Use it to get instant insights, draft documents, or troubleshoot issues without leaving the platform.
Chat Screen
Access the Chat screen to start a conversation with SoterAI. The interface displays:
A message history showing past exchanges
A prompt input field for new queries
Quick-action buttons for common tasks and templates
An upload icon for attaching photos, videos, or documents
A microphone icon for sending voice messages
Sending Messages
Type your question or command in the prompt field and press Enter or click Send.
You can also:
Attach files (photos, videos, or documents) by clicking the upload icon — SoterAI can analyze visual and text content inline.
Send voice inputs by clicking the microphone icon. SoterAI automatically transcribes your speech and responds just as it would to typed text.
Use natural language — SoterAI understands conversational phrasing.
Prompt Best Practices
- Be specific: Include relevant context (e.g., "Identify hazards in this warehouse layout").
- Use actionable requests: Ask for steps, summaries, or templates (e.g., "Generate a toolbox talk on ladder safety").
- Provide references: When asking about documents you’ve uploaded, mention the file name or section.
Context & Memory
- SoterAI retains context within a session, so follow-up questions will build on previous messages.
- To reference earlier parts of the conversation, use pronouns or summaries (e.g., "Based on the last risk analysis...").
- Reset the context by clicking New Chat when you need a fresh session.
